Yew Class visit the Rainforest!!!

Keep checking out our blog we will be adding photos, videos and much more about this magical rainforest that has appeared in our classroom!

Miss Deane with the help of her Mum and Mrs Bate (and her daughter -thank you Megan!!) have made a rainforest in the quiet area of our classroom. They put up all our art work. We have made mobiles which have pictures of animals we think you might find in the rainforest. We have also made up some new flowers and they have gone up on the wall too.
When we first walked into the rainforest it was all dark like a real rainforest. We read a story called The Vanishing Rainforest. It is about a family who are trying to survive in the rainforest even though people are destroying it.
We can’t wait to add more interesting things and learn even more about the rainforest

By Willaim and Cerys

Here is some fantastic work Jake produced all about the different layes of the rainforest. Hasn’t he done well? Busy and noisy by Jake

Hi Yew class, I love your rainforest. And Jake, your piece of work “Busy and Noisy” has taught me lots about the canopy layer – I didn’t know that was where most of the animals lived. You must have worked very hard to find all of that out Jake and do such lovely drawings as well. Thank you for sharing it with me

What great creatures in your rainforest, you must all have worked very hard! Jake, I really like your work; the picture and the writing work so well together to tell me lots of information about the rainforest. Well done to everyone!

I really like your Rainforest work. Your displays are excellent with a huge range of animals and plants on them, exactly like a real rainforest. I think your work, Jake, is brilliant. I love your labelled diagram/picture it shows me clearly what each part of the rainforest is called and your writing tells me where many of the creatures live.
Well done to all involved and well done to Miss Deane, Mum and Mrs Bate

In class four we really liked your pretty display and we hope you can put up more pictures. We think you put a lot of effort into your flowers and they look very colourful. What equipment did you need to make the mobile? The flowers stand out extremely well. Jack and Ethan had quiet areas in their previous schools, but they were outside. What do you do in your inside quiet area? We loved the idea of turning your classroom into a rainforest.
